One last tip here is that if you’re using the thin type of superglue but you want to make it both more gap-filling and quick setting, the joint can be sprinkled with common baking soda (sodium bicarbonate) either before or after applying the glue. This solidifies on contact and forms a very strong bond. Super glue/CA (cyanoacrylate ester) is a binder, not a filler. Try some CA and baking soda. You will discover that it cures into a very hard compound. Much harder than most epoxy/filler compounds. Is it better? It depends upon what you want it to do. The color of CA and baking soda is not a good match for most guitars. Ed Cregger
